# Required Condition

**The upsell offer in the cart can be configured using three different conditions:**

1. **If the total cart value is below a set threshold**
2. **Regardless of the total cart value**
3. **If the total cart value exceeds a set threshold**

### **1.** If the total cart value is below a set threshold

When selecting this option, a **"Total Cart Value"** field appears under the **"Required Condition"** section, where you must specify the cart value at the time the customer enters the cart (Fig. 1)

{% hint style="info" %}
**Example:** If the "Total Cart Value" is set to **120**, the upsell offer will appear **only if the cart total is less than 120**
{% endhint %}

### **2.** Regardless of the total cart value

With this setting, the upsell offer will **always appear**, regardless of the cart total

### **3.** If the total cart value exceeds a set threshold

When selecting this option, a **"Total Cart Value"** field appears under the **"Required Condition"** section, where you must enter the cart value at the time the customer enters the cart (Fig. 1)

{% hint style="info" %}
**Example:** If the "Total Cart Value" is set to **180**, the upsell offer will appear **only if the cart total is greater than 180**
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.codpeller.com/en/adaptive-sales/setup/cart-offer/required-condition.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
